20 weeks hands-on for Computer Science undergraduate students
Informatics at NOVA University of Lisbon has introduced a novel and unique curricular unit in the context of the advanced courses in computer science at national level, that offers a hands-on experience to their undergraduate students, outside the traditional environment of classroom.
This hands-on experience is part of the course unit Practical Activity for Curricular Development (APDC), being possible to students from the 3rd year to choose between an internship in one of our industry partners, develop an innovative product in a teamwork environment similar to a start-up, or be involved in a research project in the context of the NOVA Laboratory for Computer Science and Informatics (NOVA LINCS). The research option is also an innovative and unique at national level and is aligned with our UROP Program (Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program).
The APDC unit in the context of the advanced courses in Computer Science, only offered by Informatics at NOVA University of Lisbon at national level, is widely recognized as an added value in the curriculum of our students by their future employers.
