Alex Davidson publishes work at ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security

Alex Davidson, NOVA LINCS researcher from the Computer Systems Group, presented the paper “Call Me By My Name: Simple, Practical Private Information Retrieval for Keyword Queries” at the 31st ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (CCS 2024), which took place in Salt Lake City (EUA), from October 14th to 18th, 2024.

The paper, co-authored by Sofía Celi (Brave Software), introduces ChalametPIR a single-server Private Information Retrieval (PIR) scheme supporting fast, low-bandwidth keyword queries, with a conceptually very simple design.

The ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (CCS) is the flagship annual conference of the Special Interest Group on Security, Audit and Control (SIGSAC) of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). The conference brings together information security researchers, practitioners, developers, and users from all over the world to explore cutting-edge ideas and results.
