“Cryptography should be used freely, responsibly, and with awareness”

Henrique Domingos, a researcher from NOVA LINCS’s Computer Systems Group, discusses the importance of the free use of cryptography in an interview with the magazine Visão. In his view, rather than attempting to regulate, prohibit, or restrict the free use of cryptography and end-to-end encryption, it is essential to recognize that these are key elements for ensuring the reliable and sustainable development of the economy and the trustworthy digitalization of society.
