Publication date: 1 de June, 2021ACM CSCW 2004 International Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work
CSCW 2004, the ACM Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work, was held in Chicago, Illinois, November 6-10, 2004.
As well as covering traditional topics around work and working relationships, the conference has expanded its focus to include all contexts in which technology is used to mediate communication, coordination, cooperation and even competition.
The CSCW conference is a leading forum for the work on the design, deployment, and evaluation of technologies that affect groups, organizations, communities, and societies. New technologies of this type continue to appear in all segments of society. While the field of CSCW began formally nearly two decades ago with a focus on work (captured, of course, in the name itself), it is now the case that CSCW researchers and developers attend to all aspects of social life.
As you will see from looking through the program, the conference offers many opportunities for coming into contact with what is happening in the CSCW field. We encourage you to engage with many of these, so you can enjoy the full richness of the conference.
