Explaining the Digital Future to Elementary and Secondary Students

How does a computer game works? How an algorithm can quickly sort numbers?

The Department of Informatics and NOVA LINCS took part of the initiative Futuro Alcântara 2017, offering to the young visitors a funny approach to computer science and engineering and to the digital future.

Futuro Alcântara is an initiative organized by Junta de Freguesia (parish council) of Alcântara aiming to show to local elementary and secondary students some options for their professional future. The 3rd edition of Futuro Alcântara, held on March 16, was about entrepreneurship, employment and training in the digital areas.
