NOVA LINCS team is among the finalists in the Amazon Nova AI Challenge: Trusted AI Track

The RedTWIZ team, supervised by David Semedo and João Magalhães NOVA LINCS researchers from Multimodal Systems Group and Professors at the Computer Science Department in NOVA School of Science and Technology, is among the finalists in the Amazon Nova AI Challenge: Trusted AI Track.

The Amazon Nova AI Challenge is an annual university competition dedicated to accelerating the field of artificial intelligence (AI). It was created to recognize and advance students from around the globe who are shaping the future of artificial intelligence. Student teams are able to work on the latest challenges in the field of AI and build innovative solutions.

The finalists were selected based on tournament performance, research papers, and presentations of their innovations.

The RedTWIZ team envisions advancing conversational red teaming by developing generative AI models that adaptively plan and execute sophisticated multi-turn attacks. By leveraging the dynamics of natural language communication, our approach enables interactive and iterative testing against LLM defenses, driving stronger and more resilient AI safety measures.

The team members include Diogo Silva (team leader), Rafael Ferreira , Diogo Tavares, João Soares, Artur Horal, Iago Paulo, Daniel Pina, Henrique Paz, and is supervised by Prof. David Semedo and Prof. João Magalhães.
