David Aveiro is an Assistant Professor in University of Madeira where he is Coordinator of the Department of Informatics Engineering and Interactive Media Design. He is also a Researcher at Madeira's Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology and Innovation (ARDITI) and of NOVA LINCS laboratory - Madeira University branch. His PhD was completed in 2010 in the field of Computer Science and Information Systems Engineering in Instituto Superior Técnico of University of Lisbon. Currently, his published works include 4 articles in journals, 1 book chapter, 52 conference papers and 33 edited books. He has served as Program Chair in 30 events as well as is supervising or completed the supervision of 8 PhD thesis (3 finished, 5 ongoing), 28 MSc projects (22 finished, 6 ongoing), and 13 BSc final projects (all finished). He also participates and/or participated as Principal investigator in 13 projects: 8 European (7 finished, 1 ongoing); 1 National (ongoing) and 4 Regional (all finished).
