Ricardo Gonçalves is an Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. He is an integrated member of the NOVA Laboratory for Computer Science and Informatics (NOVA LINCS), where he belongs to the Knowledge-Based Systems (KBS) group. His main research interests are within the area of Artificial Intelligence, more specifically on Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. One of his main research focus is on the problem of representing and reasoning with dynamic heterogeneous knowledge, including real-time events and data streams, ultimately to support innovative open data, knowledge-based, products and software services. He is also interested in the topic of forgetting in Answer Set Programming. He holds a 5-years BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computation (2004) and a PhD in Mathematics (2008), both from Instituto Superior Técnico of Universidade Técnica de Lisboa.
