Rui Jesus is an Adjunct Professor at Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computers Engineering, ISEL/IPL since 2002 where he teaches courses on Multimedia Authoring, Interactive Multimedia Applications and Mobile Design. He is also an integrated member of NOVA LINCS (Multimodal systems group). His main research objectives are related to multimedia information processing and multimodal computer interaction for entertainment and cultural heritage. His main concerns are image and video summarization in personal and collective memories and the exploration of natural (affective) user interfaces for entertainment and cultural heritage. He has been involved in several research projects with other academic research centers and with industrial companies, DigiT FUP, VideoFlow, InStory, Crossing Borders and Crush. He has authored and co-authored several publications in peer reviewed journals and conferences.
