ASTROLABIUM - Portuguese Researchers\\\' Mobility Portal and Network of Mobility Centres

This project aims at creating a portal and a network of mobility centres to promote research opportunities in Portugal and to provide information and assistance to potential candidates concerning housing, healthcare, schooling, taxation, social security, transports, culture, tourism, etc. in Portugal. The whole information will be available in Portuguese and English.
Both are meant to integrate the European Researcher's Mobility Portal (ERMP) and the European Network of Mobility Centres (ENMC).
To address the problem related to translation the systems built in the framework of European MLIS Project TRADAUT-PT will be used and enhanced. Moreover, Text Mining will provide word and multi-word translations in order to enable language transparent Information Retrieval, using both Portuguese and English as interaction languages, independently of the fact that information may be available just in one of those languages.
