STAndard-based COoperative Software

The project aims the proposal of a methodology for developing cooperative software systems, based on a layered architecture with separation of computation and coordination concerns (as a means of achieving higher levels of auto-adaptability).
The project included the following tasks: (1) Adoption of a knowledge management/learning organization principles for (macro-)process model definition based on operational research optimization algorithms; (2) Definition of precise semantics techniques to the organizational requirements capturing with UML; (3) Application of Petri nets in the design and simulation of component-based cooperative software; (4) Definition of process assessment techniques in cooperative software design; (5) Development of a real case study to evaluate the proposed methodology and techniques, and to provide experience with the integrated technology.
