Prototypes details

  • CloakFlow Prototype
  • The CloackFlow Prototype is a censorship circumvention solution, leveraging multimedia morphing techniques to hide traffic in regular video streams over the Internet. The system allow for arbitrary TCP/IP or UDP/IP traffic to be morphed over Skype-based steaming calls. The prototype was developed in the context of the Master Thesis at FCT/UNL and NOVA LINCS Research Center, being a jointly effort of Rui Filipe Sanches (MSc student) and Henrique Domingos (Student Supervisor). The project is available for research purposes but it is ready to be used by anyone. It can be used as a base platform for the study of multimedia traffic morphing techniques. The available prototype was tested using Linux Ubuntu 16.04.3(64 bits). As the Skype version used was v4.3.0.37, this version must be installed (because in the beginning of November/2017 this version was discontinued, and the most recent Skype for linux v8.11 no longer seems to support v4l2 virtual devices). See: https://bitbucket.org/RuiSanches/cloakflow/src/master/ for informations on installation procedures and deployment of the available prototype.
