Integrating MATA mechanisms to requirements approaches

The goal of Aspect-Oriented Software Development (AOSD) is to maintain a clear separation of concerns throughout the software lifecycle. Concerns that are separated, however, must be composed at some point. Existing aspect-oriented modelling composition methods are not expressive enough for composing aspect-oriented models. However, MATA appeared to support a richer form of model composition than previous approaches to aspect-oriented modelling. In this talk I will introduce the MATA approach and apply it to different requirements models (e.g. viewpoints, problem frames and goal-oriented approaches) and analyse its contributions in the AOSD context.
