Social NOS

Filipa Peleja, PhD student at the Departament of Informatics, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia – Universidade Nova de Lisboa, NOVA-LINCS, presented in the last edition of ZON DevDays 2015 her work “Social NOS”, an integrated experience of social-media entertainment. She won the first prize of the TV of the Future challenge
, and a prize money of 3.000 euros.

“Social NOS” is a proposal that contemplares a new social TV chat system that integrates spectator feedback mechanisms and new paradigms of multi-screen interaction. This system incorporates a popularity analysis system for TV shows.

Filipa Peleja is a PhD student in the Multimodal Systems group, NOVA LINCS / CITI, in the  context of the IMTv project, coordinated by Professor João Magalhães. The  IMTv project is lead by CITI / DI FCT UNL, and has the following partners: INESC-Porto, the Universidade de Lisboa – FCUL, the University of Texas at Austin, ZON Multimédia (now changed to NOS),  DUVIDEO,  RTP, and FCCN.
