  • 6th European Conference on Software Maintenance and Reengineering (CSMR’2002)
  • 11 Mar 2002 to 13 Mar 2002
  • The Sixth European Conference on Software Maintenance and Reengineering (CSMR 2002) provides a truly international forum for discussion and exchange of experience between researchers and practitioners. This year we are facilitating participation from Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries by holding the conference in Budapest, Hungary. In order to encourage researchers from these countries for paper submission many members of the Program Committee have been selected from CEE countries. We are very pleased that 15 papers have been submitted to the conference from researchers living in these countries. The technical program of CSMR 2002 includes 24 full research and experience technical papers and 4 short papers, selected out of 57 high-quality submissions. Each paper was reviewed by at least three members of the program committee and the final selection was made on the program committee meeting held in Florence, Italy. The papers presented at the conference and published in this proceedings cover a wide spectrum of topics related to software maintenance and reengineering; e.g. software migration, software evolution and integration, metrics, source code analysis, architectural design recovery, programming language issues. We hope that the diversity of the papers’ topics gave rise to creative thinking and will stimulate some fruitful research cooperation in the future.
