João Ribeiro is a Professor Auxiliar (U.S. equivalent: Assistant Professor) in the Computer Science Department of FCT - Universidade Nova de Lisboa and an integrated researcher at NOVA LINCS. Previously, he was a post doctoral fellow in the Computer Science Department of Carnegie Mellon University. João received his PhD from the Department of Computing of Imperial College London and, before that, he received an MSc in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computation from Instituto Superior Técnico. He has held visiting positions at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing of UC Berkeley, the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the Centre for Quantum Technologies of the National University of Singapore.
