I am an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department of the New University of Lisbon and a member of NOVA LINCS. Previously, I was a post doctoral fellow in the Computer Science Department of CMU hosted jointly by Vipul Goyal and Venkatesan Guruswami. I received my PhD from the Department of Computing of Imperial College London, where I was advised by Mahdi Cheraghchi. During my PhD, I also spent some time at CQT (hosted by Divesh Aggarwal), UIUC (hosted by Olgica Milenkovic), and UMich (hosted by Mahdi Cheraghchi). Before that, I received an MSc in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, where I worked with Ueli Maurer, and a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computation from Instituto Superior Técnico, where I worked with Paulo Mateus and André Souto. Research interests: I am interested in coding theory and pseudorandomness along with their connections to cryptography, reliable data storage, and theoretical computer science more broadly.
