  • In recent years their has been a rapid increase in the regulations and pressure on organisations to develop comprehensive corporate governance processes and controls. This has led to a corresponding increase in pressure on IT organisations to develop similar processes and controls for IT governance. Colin looks at these issues and examines and explains the role that service management "best practice", standards and frameworks play in the development of mature IT governance processes."<P> Colin has been working in the IT industry for over 30 years and is recognised as a leading exponent of both Network Management and Service Management principles and processes. He has been heavily involved in the development of “New ITIL”, authoring or contributing to the production of many of the individual modules. He was also responsible for the design of the overall framework for the new library and co-authored the new Pocket Book. Colin now works for his own company, together with a number of clients in the development and implementation of enterprise-wide management processes and solutions, particularly within the Internet and e-business arena. Colin is internationally recognised as a leading expert within the field of enterprise management. He has been a member of the itSMF for many years and has given presentations at numerous Regional, National and International conferences on the application and use of Service Management principles.
