Coordination and Tailorability Issues in the design of a Generic Large Scale Groupware Platform
Apr 1997
In this paper we describe an architecture for building and support distributed and tailorable groupware applications, based on a Java-Beand component model. The paper presents the foundations, design and technical issues as well as the particular implementation aspects of session managers and coordination mechanisms. These mechanisms provide the tailorability support that make the architecture usable by domain experts in order for them to be able to build dynamic, distributed groupware applications for a varietry of application domains.
