Catarina Gralha

Catarina Gralha received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Portugal) in 2019. She was advised by Miguel Goulão and João Araújo. During her PhD journey, she was a Visiting Research Student at SEGAL Research Group, University of Victoria (Canada), working with Daniela Damian. She was also a Visiting Research Student at the Bristol Cyber Security group, University of Bristol (United Kingdom), working with Awais Rashid and Ben Shreeve. Her main research interests are in the area of software engineering, especially software requirements, software design, empirical software engineering and software quality. In particular, Catarina uses Empirical Software Engineering techniques to identify the strengths and shortcomings in the quality of software requirements models. Catarina has published in peer reviewed international journals, conferences, and workshops. She received the best paper award at the 26th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE 2014) and had a candidate for the best paper award at the 27th IEEE International Requirements Engineering Conference (RE 2019).
