João Ribeiro

João Ribeiro is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at IST - Universidade de Lisboa. Previously he was an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department of FCT - Universidade Nova de Lisboa and an integrated researcher at NOVA LINCS. Before that, he was a post doctoral fellow in the Computer Science Department of Carnegie Mellon University. João received his PhD from the Department of Computing of Imperial College London and, before that, he received an MSc in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computation from Instituto Superior Técnico. He has held visiting positions at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing of UC Berkeley, the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the Centre for Quantum Technologies of the National University of Singapore.
