NOVA LINCS and DI FCT NOVA offered an internship program for 9th grade students about basics of Informatics and Computer Science,
supported by the "Ciência Viva no Laboratório" program.
The 10 young students who during a whole week attended the internship program, got it touch for the first time with challenging
programming tasks, involving basic principles of artificial intelligence, machine learning and ciberphysical systems.
The program Ciência Viva no Laboratório – Ocupação Científica de Jovens nas Férias, promoted by Ciência Viva – National Agency for Scientific
and Technological Culture, aims to bring the youngest students closer to the reality of scientific and technological research in several areas
of knowledge.
