Matthias Knorr is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Nova University of Lisbon (UNL) since October 2011 and an integrated member of NOVA LINCS within the Knowledge-Based Systems group. His main research interests are within the area of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning focussing on the problem of representing and reasoning with dynamic heterogeneous knowledge, including real-time events and data streams, ultimately with the aim of providing sophisticated reasoning services and applications on knowledge spread out in a non-centralised way (such as in the Web) and subject to change due to an ever-changing, incoming flow of data. He holds a 3-year BSc in Computer Science from Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), Germany, a Master in Computational Logic from both TUD and UNL, and a PhD in Computer Science from UNL since 2011. He also was a visiting researcher at Kno.e.sis Center, Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, USA, in September 2011.
